It’s been over a year since I wrote my second post to urge you to “start now.”
So be honest, how far are you with your plans and goals? How easy has it been to do what you said you’d do?
I can guess the answer because we all sometimes go through that. That’s why I wrote about discipline some time ago.
As Jim Rohn once said, “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.”
In other words, motivation matters. Motivation is good. But discipline is a must. Discipline is a necessity.
Regardless of the high doses of motivation, we get from whichever speaker we listen to, if there is no willingness or a firm decision to take action, we will never get things done.
Our desires must be backed with discipline. Discipline ensures consistency even when we don’t feel as motivated as the first time— the first time we said we’d do something or when we had the idea to do what we want to do right now.
This means developing self-discipline reflects we respect ourselves by doing what we said we’d do when we had our convictions.
As we enjoy our weekends, let’s get our diaries and pens, and pen down our thoughts, visions and the things we’d do.
But more importantly, respect yourself enough to do the things you said you would do.
Bye,
James.
